SOLE Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA, along with similar terms) is an electronic authentication method in which a person is granted access to a website or application only after successfully presenting two or more pieces of evidence (or factors): knowledge (something only the user knows, like a password), possession (something only the user has, like a cell phone).

Methods for Two-Factor Authentication

Authenticator Application

  1. Download an authenticator application to your mobile device (or use one you've already downloaded).
  2. Scan the QR code presented in SOLE from within your authenticator application.
     * If you cannot scan the QR code SOLE will provide manual setup instructions.
  3. Enter the security code generated by your authenticator application.
