  • Four answer options are provided by default. Add more by clicking Add Another Answer.
  • Only one correct answer is allowed. Click the red Incorrect icon next to the correct answer to mark it as correct (it will turn green).
  • Answers are randomized by default. For a fixed order, click Show Answer Formatting and select "In the order above."

2. True/False

  • Only one correct answer is allowed. Click the red Incorrect box next to the correct answer to mark it as correct.
  • By default, answers display as True first, then False. If importing, specify the answer order on the import sheet, or they will display randomly.

3. Essay

  • Students respond with a text answer.
  • After the exam, grade each essay manually and assign points based on the response.

4. Matching

  • Provide a question or directions, and define four pairs of matching items. Add more options by clicking Add Another Answer.
  • Distractors can be added to increase challenge by adding extra options.
  • A single incorrect match results in a score of zero for the question. You can override this score for partial credit in the Gradebook.

5. Fill in the Blank

  • Open-ended questions requiring students to type an answer.
  • Use [] to denote the answer location (only one blank per question).
  • Define acceptable answers in the answers section. Answers are not case-sensitive.

  • Upload an image file (GIF, JIF, JPG, JPEG, or PNG). Ensure the image is pre-edited for size as it cannot be adjusted in the question tool.

  • Only one correct answer area per image.
