Linking Relay Recordings

Linking TechSmith Relay Recordings to Content

Use the following directions to link a previously recorded TechSmith Relay lecture to Content using the a Multiformat folder:

  1. Enter the SOLE course/site and click to “Add Content.”
  2. Select “Multiformat” and then give the folder a title.
  3. Click “Browse” next to the first file option to open the File Manager. Click to select the “Relay” folder.
  4. Locate the folder that contains the date/time of the presentation. It may also by listed by the title that was given to the presentation. Click to open the folder.
  5. Click to select the MP3 file. This will enter it into the first file option.
  6. Next, click “Browse” next to the second file option to open the File Manager. Click to select the “Relay” folder.
  7. Locate the folder that contains the date/time of the presentation. It may also by listed by the title that was given to the presentation. Click to open the folder.
  8. Next click the top folder (the blue link) with the title of the presentation you want to download.
  9. Next click “Media.“
  10. Click to select the MP4 file. This will enter it into the second file option.
  11. Add additional files (PPTs, PDFs, Word documents) from the File Manager if necessary.
  12. Scroll down and click “Add Multiform”

Downloading a TechSmith Relay Recording

Use the following directions to download the MP4 of a TechSmith Relay recording: 

  1. Enter the SOLE course/site and click to access the File Manager.
  2. Click to open the “Relay” folder.
  3. Locate the folder that contains the date/time of the presentation. It may also by listed by the title that was given to the presentation. Click to open the folder.
  4. Next click the top folder (the blue link) with the title of the presentation you want to download.
  5. Next click “Media.“
  6. The file you want to download will always be titled “video.mp4”. Select the MP4 by clicking its check box and you will be given the option to Download the file.
  7. Once the file is downloaded you can save it to your computer.
