SOLE Spotlight: Collaborate Ultra

Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is a real-time video conferencing tool that lets you add files, share applications, and use a virtual whiteboard to interact. Collaborate can be used for virtual classrooms, office hours and meetings to provide more possibilities for effective learning experiences and interactions. Collaborate with the Ultra experience opens right in your browser, so you don't have to install any software to join a session. Google Chrome, or Firefox are recommended for the best experience. Enable Collaborate Ultra from your course Control Panel's Tools Tab.

Collaborate Ultra Features

Ultra provides multiple integrated tools to help make the experience more engaging. From within the Ultra session, moderators can place students into breakout groups, interact through virtual whiteboard, and share applications and files. These features are found in the Collaborate Control Panel's Share Content tab. Visit the Collaborate Ultra Documentation page for help on using these tools from within a session.

For more information, visit the HSC Contingency Planning and Preparedness to learn more about transitioning your course due to Coronavirus (COVID-19).
