Types of Objectives

Effective learning objectives use action verbs to describe what students should to be able to do by the end of the course or unit. Objectives should be written at the Course Level as well as on the Content Level. Aligning assignments and assessments with course expectations is much easier with written, measurable objectives defined from the beginning of a course or unit.

SOLE Learning Objectives are used to specify Course Level Learning Objectives, that define for the student what is expected of them at the end of the course. Content Level Objectives can also be attached to individual pieces of Content and to Assessments within SOLE. Content Level Objects can then be connected to the Course Level Objectives in order to map content.
